Due to leasing issues ITV Meridian were compromised into the unenviable position of having leave their film studios, vacate the building and set up at a new premises close by in a hurry!
Project Proposal
EI Projects were entrusted to provide two new film and recording studios along with associated control rooms, meeting rooms, offices and breakout areas. The opportunity was taken to not only utilise the very latest in acoustic technology to provide ‘industry standard levels’ of sound attenuation but to design attractive, usable spaces that looked good, whichever way the cameras were pointing. Adjustable lighting levels and stylish joinery completed the aesthetics while cleverly concealed power and data ensured function as well as form. Working closely in conjunction with the client’s representatives and technicians, key dates were hit and crucial stages completed to ensure a seamless transition from the old studios to the new, meaning millions of television viewers were totally unaware of the complex changeover!
