The Brief
Our client Evolve IP are an international organisation providing enterprise solutions that seamlessly integrate collaboration & communications, digital workspaces, contact center and are delivered from a browser on any connected device. They had recently relocated their UK Headquarters to an office facility in Cardiff. The building was an empty CAT A shell that required adaptations to suit Evolves operations and business model. EI Projects entered the tendering process and were appointed based on their approach to quality, management, proactivity, health & safety, and value for money. Working with the client we then developed the design further to ensure that all their requirements were met, and the project was value engineered to reach optimal value for money. The project was then ready to commence the construction phase.
Project Proposal
The project proposal included liaising and cooperating with the client and the team to fully understand their requirements. They required a collaboration, lab, meeting, training, and desking area as well as a boardroom, shower room, comms room and breakout spaces. Black aluminium profiles completed with glazing provided a cutting edge, modern aesthetic to each space with full height oak doors that completed the partitioning system. Air conditioning was installed in each area giving the employees adaptable heating control suited to their needs when working. Evolve IP’s business is centred around technology therefore a sufficient comms room needed to be in place to withstand their requirements and any further developments. Lighting and floor box alterations were also required as part of the electrical package. Breakout and kitchenette areas on both floors ensured that the employees had a relaxing, creative space to enjoy and escape the work environment when on their break. We worked with the client to decide on wall graphics and signage designs to add a personalised touch to the office environment. Furniture throughout the building was agreed and specified to suit, a colour/fabric schedule was sent to the client for their input. We take the client along the project journey from concept to completion, gaining their feedback and input ensures that the finished product goes above and beyond expectation. The management of the project included: health & safety, welfare, quality, programme, O&M Manuals, training, costs and budgeting. We also complete fortnightly project reports to give the client an insight into the project.
The EI Management team ensured that the following key performance indicators were met these include Health & Safety, Programme, Cost, Scope and Quality. The project was managed from concept to completion on time and on budget despite the challenges faced from the COVID-19 Pandemic. EI Projects observed and followed all guidelines advised by the government including social distancing and hygiene concerns.
