PATAS - Enforcement and Traffic Adjudicators

The Brief

The lease was about to expire on the client’s existing premises in Islington so it was the ideal opportunity to relocate more centrally to Holborn. Existing bespoke counters and desks were to be reused from the old location so newly built room sizes, ‘setting out’ and all dimensions were critical.

Project Proposal

Initially, we had an open floor plan to work with which fortunately was on the ground floor at street level. Due to the nature of the client’s business (parking and traffic offence appeals), the main criteria driving the design, layout and construction were the safety of the staff and special attention to acoustics and sound transference to maintain audible privacy between rooms. Glass was extensively used to the front of the Appeal Suites to provide added visual security but still maintain the required DB ratings to control and negate sound attenuation.

Meeting Rooms, tea points, Prayer room and an inviting but functional reception and waiting area completed the fit out. EI Projects even transported and re-fitted the made to measure furniture and fittings from the client’s original offices to the new.
